Anne Main MP: "Thank you for visiting my site.

Many people have said, in light of recent developments that Hertfordshire appears to be at ‘breaking point.’

With your help we can ensure that they ‘Don't break our Herts’.

Prime Minister's Question Time
21 March 2007

St Albans is a beautiful, historic City that has proved to be attractive to business, residents and visitors. However, many of my constituents are voicing concerns about issues that now threaten to compromise our beautiful City and its surroundings.

National policies are, of course, having a profound impact on the provision of services that are proving to be of such concern to my constituents.

At a local level I meet regularly with the police, health trusts, local groups, service providers, charities, businesses, religious groups, and your local Council to ensure that these concerns are being listened to.

Currently, St Albans District Council is under Liberal Democrat control and is led by Councillor Robert Donald with whom I have regular meetings. As you will know St Albans District Council provides many of the local services that affect you such as leisure and amenities, planning, licensing, recycling, bin collections etc.

At these meetings I keep the Council informed about concerns about their particular projects and services that have been drawn to my attention by constituents.

Please ensure you provide your name, address and email so that I may contact you in the future. Without these full details I cannot respond to your views."
